Zadok Ben David's arresting installation, Blackfield, is comprised of thousands of black painted steel cutouts of botanical prints taken from old textbooks, embedded in sand; the other side of each delicate piece is painted in vivid colors, magically bringing the field to life as you walk its perimeter. Breathtaking.

re-adorned
Lately I've been putting together new jewelry pieces, playing around with shapes & textures; I'm finding reassembling old pieces & putting together bits collected over the years from many different origins especially satisfying.
New year, new pieces from well-loved sources rethought... a good directive for living, perhaps?

white blanket
Everything finally feels all right now... after a big snow dump in October, we've had no snowfall to speak of in Southern Vermont, until today. My walk home from town was so absolutely beautiful, I couldn't stop snapping pics. I've made myself a bowl of chocolat chaud & am about to go into the studio to begin etching some new designs, probably with a warm cat or two joining me on my lap. Cheers!

atelier love
I'm happy to say my studio space is clean & organized. I've come up with two new collections of designs which will soon be available, & plan to start taking commissions for monogram necklaces this week. That & the new year have left me feeling excited & energized.
